So why did Paul write these texts?
Romans 3:7 For if the truth of God hath more abounded through MY LIE unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?
Thoughts that popped in my head over the years:
1. Paul never existed and these texts were written by people who wanted to change the faith.
2. Paul wrote these texts because he wanted Romans to accept a Jewish man as their Messiah, and so he declared himself an “apostle to the gentiles”. [ All the apostles were apostles to the Gentiles at the end of the 1st Gospel]. In Paul’s time the Romans killed tons of Jews. So after Jesus came Paul saw that there were many Romans who accepted him as the Messiah. So he decided to change the faith from one of obedience to one of thought only. He took away things that would prevent a Roman from following Jesus, specifically circumcision. As that PART was very important to the Romans and circumcision an absurd thing to do to oneself.
3. There is a Jew on YouTube who started making YouTube videos aimed at attacking Christianity. He said he started because he got tired of seeing Messianic Christians dressed like Jews. He says how much he hates this. So now he is converting Christians to Judaism. Which is absurd.
Paul may have been like this guy. He saw non-jews beginning to keep the law. So he wanted to steer non-jews away from the law. So he tweaked the message of the Gospel to pull the law out of the faith altogether.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Unfortunately the English translations use the word ‘hypocrite’. But the word Jesus uses is ‘actor’. Go read the verses now with that knowledge and they will make more sense.
What is an “actor” in Religion?
An actor in religion is someone who plays along but doesn’t actually believe.
TO THESE PEOPLE, THE SCRIPTURES AND RELIGION IN GENERAL ARE TOOLS TO SHAPE INDIVIDUALS AND SOCIETY INTO THE IMAGE OF THE PERSON REPRESENTING GOD.
Back then, the scriptures were very rare. Only religious leaders and a few others had 1 or more books of scripture.
Also, very few people could read. So an educated person who had scripture scrolls [2 Timothy 4:13 “When you come, bring the…scrolls, especially the parchments.”] could tell people what they said and completely change the message.
For example, we see Paul changing THE REASON GOD CHOSE ABRAHAM.
Paul contradicting Yahweh: Was Abraham chosen because of his obedience or his faith?
TRUE SCRIPTURE: Genesis 26:4-5 “And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.“
“because that Abraham…kept…my law” – YHWH
PAUL:
Romans 4:13 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, [was] not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.
“was not…through the law”.
This is a huge change. Paul is changing THE REASON WHY God approves people AWAY FROM THE LAW, and towards a mental decision i.e. ‘faith’.
So Paul here is misleading people. He is changing the word of God. What’s the psychology behind this?
To misrepresent YHWH in this fashion Paul had to think what he was doing was good. And that takes us back to the reasons I posted above.
His whole thing was an act. He is an actor as Jesus spoke of.
ACTORS KEEPING PEOPLE OUT OF THE KINGDOM:
Matthew 23:13 DV – “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, ACTORS! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in.“
A new poll says only 49% of Pastors have a “biblical world view”. A “biblical worldview” means, they see the Bible as true, as representing true history and actual reality.
That means 51% don’t think the scriptures are true. They are actors. And actors do the same thing Paul did, they misrepresent God in order to use religion to change men into their image, that is, how they want men to be.
They love Paul because Paul taught people the law no longer is in effect. That its “grace grace grace”. They love this message. Its easy to get converts, and if you sin, well you’re forgiven. So no guilt. Paul’s Gospel, which I used to teach people when I was a missionary, is such an easy Gospel to follow and to get converts to. A person is given everything by making a mental decision. I had a lot of success bringing people into that Gospel.
But bringing people into the message Jesus taught, this is much harder. The Gospel Jesus taught, it’s very hard and you have to actually DO THINGS, and NOT DO THINGS that are natural.
No self defense for small things:
Matthew 5:39-44 NKJV “But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. 40 “If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have [your] cloak also. 41 “And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two.
Give to anyone who asks you for something, and never say no:
42″Give to him who asks you, and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away.
Love your ENEMIES:
43″You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 “But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.“
Forgive a brother eternally for everything they do:
Mathew 18:22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.
Keep the whole law as you are able for the right reasons OR YOU WONT GO TO HEAVEN:
Matthew 5:20 KJV – For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Allow yourself to be crucified for the Gospel:
Matthew 10:38 KJV – And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
Keep the commandments as are able:
Matthew 19.16 “What good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?”…if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”
Mark 10.17-19 “Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?…You know the commandments”
Luke 10:25-26 Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? He said unto him, What is written in the law?”
Luke 18:18-19 “Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?…Thou knowest the commandments...”
Call a brother a “fool” [ Moros ] and you are “in danger of hell fire“:
Matthew 5:22 KJV – 22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother….but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
OUR JOB:
The job of the Disciple is to quote Jesus verbatim so people hear WHAT JESUS SAID. When we use OUR own words, people hear US. But when we quote Jesus VERBATIM, they hear HIM.
When talking to people who follow Paul, you need to just quote the verses that are contrary to what Paul said. There are so many. I can give you a list.
For example show them the 4 verses above where Jesus says who a person must do to enter into Eternal Life. These verses blow Paul followers away. To them, saying “keeping the commandments” helps a person in anyway “enter into eternal life”, is blasphemy and ‘legalism’. BUT THAT’S WHAT JESUS SAID.
Our Job is to tell them what Jesus said, and then let them wrestle with his words alone. Their reaction will be to defend the gospel they were taught. Few men and women are free to even consider their religion is wrong at all. This is why people all across the globe will stay in the religion they first learned about for the rest of their lives. A person must want to be in the Truth so bad they will abandon anything that is contrary to God and Jesus.
#DisciplesOfJesus do this all the time. We study Jesus, quote Jesus, point out Paul’s lies, encourage people to practice the law, and do good works. I always say, “Keep the laws you know, and learn the rest”.
DONT MAKE THIS MISTAKE:
People often think that ‘the truth’ will have loads of people following it. To them, a small group cannot be correct. They call small religious groups [ like Jesus and his 12 Disciples] a ‘cult’. They seek big churches that have a long tradition , pretty churches, tons of literature to read, and those who ‘dress holy’ with funny hats.
For most of history there has only been a few people who have been in the covenant with YHWH.
2 Kings 19:31 NKJV – 31 For out of Jerusalem shall go a remnant, And those who escape from Mount Zion. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this.’
Ezra 9:15 NKJV – 15 “O LORD God of Israel, You are righteous, for we are left as a remnant, as it is this day. Here we are before You, in our guilt, though no one can stand before You because of this!“
Isaiah 1:9 NKJV – 9 Unless the LORD of hosts Had left to us a very small remnant, We would have become like Sodom, We would have been made like Gomorrah.
Even Jesus wondered if there would be anyone in “The Faith” he taught when he returned:
Luke 18:8 DV – “I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find the faith on the earth?“
FEW
Matthew 7:14 NKJV – “Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
Luke 13:23-24 NKJV – Then one said to Him, “Lord, are there few who are saved?” And He said to them, 24 “Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able.
Note: “narrow” means “to be pressed”, “to be persecuted”. When a person lives as a true disciple of Jesus, they are not the most popular of people.
Luke 6:22 – KJV “Blessed are you when men hate you” – Jesus
Luke 6:26 KJV – Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.
They hold to YHWH’s laws and profess what is true. We are now seeing countries that used to be Christian arresting people who profess certain truths and laws from the scriptures.
To finish:
Matthew 28:18-20 NKJV – 18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 “teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
